Hello, my name is Ishi Dimarucut Ocampo, I am currently a first year student in the Environmental Technology Program at Seneca Polytechnic. In December 2024, I was fortunate enough to be selected along with other Seneca Students for a Faculty-Led Program Abroad to Costa Rica: Indigenous Studies.

In this trip, I have the opportunity to visit and discover the rich histories of local Indigenous Communities in Costa Rica and as students we also have a chance to engage deeply with Canada's on going path to reconciliation. I am looking forward for the hands-on experiences with Indigenous culture and the land as well as, learning the incredible contributions these communities have made toward building a sustainable and thriving society.

To offset the program fee, we will receive a $3000 grant from Global Skills Opportunity Canada however, the total expense of the program is $5100 and I humbly ask for any support in making this trip happen.
