Funds for John Lamb’s Final Farewell and Family

John was called home on May 18th after a lengthy illness that never kept him from smiling.

Even though he was sick for a while, it still came as a surprise to everyone, and especially to his boys. They’re grown — Jarred’s 21 and Jamal’s 19 — and they’ve had to do even more growing up lately. He wasn’t done raising them, so now it’s up to us, his friends, his family, his community, to help them out.

We’re putting together this collection to take care of John’s final expenses, host a celebration of life, and lay him to rest. Anything extra will be split between Jarred and Jamal.

All of the funds will go to the boys and their mom, Jamie, who’s handling the arrangements. I’m organizing this all on their behalf — Jamie’s been my best friend since we were kids. I remember when she’d call me all excited to tell me about this John guy she just met. He’s been a part of our lives forever, and I can’t believe he’s gone.
