On 6th November 2020 Jack went missing just as it started going dark and fireworks were going off. He gets incredibly scared of fireworks so we think he got spooked and ran off. He was missing for a total of 9 days in which he was stuck beneath a tree, under lots of brambles and bushes. He was there for the whole 9 days without food, water or shelter. He is now very malnourished and dehydrated with a large cut across his face and bruises all over his body. He is classed as in critical condition and is in intensive care.
He will have to have surgery on his face and is on a feeding drip. The veterinarian has said he will have to be looked after for a minimum of 5 days before he can be allowed back home. We have been told a figure of £5000 to cover the costs of his treatment. We received a lot of support in the search for Jack which was overwhelmingly appreciated as he means so much to us. If anyone is willing to donate this would also be very much appreciated, but please do not feel obliged to do so.
We have had Jack for 13 years now and he is such a huge part of our family so any help, whether it's a share, donation or comment, we are grateful for.
