Irish Lung Fibrosis Association
Hi Folks, I have decided to run the Connemara Marathon in April 2025 and raise funds for the Irish Lung Fibrosis Association
LFA is committed to funding and supporting research into lung fibrosis and related conditions. The ILFA Board recognises that research into understanding, preventing, diagnosing and treating lung fibrosis is key in fighting this disease. Research also helps identify the causes of lung fibrosis and disease progression which can improve diagnosis and treatment and lead to better quality of life.
This organisation is very close to my family’s heart, as in December 2015 our dad Martin was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis, which is a scarring of the lung tissue.
Throughout the past 9 years we have seen our dad struggle with daily tasks that you or I would have no issue with completing. He has been on oxygen 24/ 7 the past 5 years.
The help that we as a family and him as a patient have received from various consultants over the years has been amazing and it has made dealing with his condition easier on us as a family.
I’dlike to help raise funds so that LFA can put the monies raised into research.
On behalf of the Little Family thank you.
