Funds for Iris

Hi everyone, recently 2022 has caused a major turn in my family. The second week of January, my mother was hospitalized when we noticed jaundice in her eyes. After multiple tests and waiting, the doctors had informed us that she has a tumor next to her liver inside of her body. After taking a sample of it to the lab, she was diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma cancer two weeks ago. This is a bile duct form of cancer and a very rare form of it. Currently, she needs to get rid of her jaundice, but after she will start chemotherapy to hopefully shrink the tumor down. Once it shrinks down, they will surgically remove it in the future. During the time of chemotherapy, my father will take family medical leave since he can take up to twelve weeks off, but he won’t receive any salary. This will put a lot of stress on my family since we need the money to pay for bills, groceries, medication, hospital visits, and other essentials we might need. I will try to help making more money when she’s in chemotherapy but it will be hard balancing that with taking her to appointments and college. I want to raise enough money to surprise them in the future so my father can comfortably take the time off without needing to worry about making ends meet.
