Funds for Freedom - Helping Dogs acquire Sanctuary

Shelters in Albuquerque work hard to give every dog a strong chance to find their perfect home but sometimes a dog enters the shelter that needs a special place.

That is where sanctuaries come in; dedicated places to help special dogs find a good quality of life for the rest of their lives.

Dogs that are geriatric, medically fragile, or not available for adoption due to life circumstances have a chance for a better quality of life at one of the many sanctuaries across the nation.

Sanctuaries often require a contribution because they will be caring for this animal for the rest of its life.

Sanctuaries can provide dogs the specialized home they need while providing a good quality of life. And that is the goal, to give every dog a good life.

About myself: I am an avid volunteer at the CABQ Animal Shelter for almost two years now. When I am not a work you can find me walking dogs. I have 3 wonderful pups from the shelter and foster as well.

I saw a need and hope to help bridge a gap in the shelters and want to contribute. Every animal deserves a good life and I hope you will help me realize this goal!

To help shelters in Albuquerque send dogs to sanctuaries locally and nationally I am starting a fund,  I am currently partnering with kennel Kompadres, A non-profit that works to help fill the gaps for the shelters. Their website can be found here:  http://www.kennelkompadres.org/.

This money will pay for transportation, the sanctuary itself self and the care of the animal.

Currently, we have identified one long term resident of a local shelter to be the recipient of this first fund. A sanctuary has been identified and would love to take the dog but must first receive payment.

The sanctuary can only give us 60 days to raise these funds. So we have a short deadline for this first fund for freedom. Situations like this happen often where a sanctuary is available but funding cannot be provided.

This funding source would allow dogs who have been qualified for Sanctuary and already have a sanctuary found to be able to go without waiting.

We are currently organizing a social media presence to get the word out!

Please feel free to share our Facebook page and Instagram Account.
Keep your eye out for sponsorship shoutouts, Fundraising events, information about Sanctuaries, the dogs we are working with and additional information about rescue.
