Eduardo has been in ICE detention in New York since November 2025, when he was abruptly detained while on his way to the grocery store. His wife, Noemi, was on the phone with him during the arrest.

Since then, Noemi has been supporting their three kids (18, 8, and 2) on her own. While Noemi's church community has rallied around them with transportation and support, and their eldest daughter stepped up as much as possible during her final semester of high school, the family is struggling heavily without Eduardo's income. They have fallen into debt trying to cover his legal fees. The family is in urgent need of funds for both basic living expenses and the lawyer working on Eduardo’s case.
