Funds for Dave Schaschwary

As many of you know our friend Dave Schaschwary was diagnosed last year with ALS, which is a progressive nervous system disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, causing loss of muscle control.  ALS is often called Lou Gehrig's disease, after the baseball player who was diagnosed with it.  Currently there is not a cure, but researchers learn more about ALS every day. What they discover will help them develop medications to treat symptoms and improve the lives of people who have this disease.

Dave and his family are planning to do some remodeling in their home to help with his mobility within his home.  They are putting in a chair lift to their second floor along with remodeling their bathroom.  The cost of this project is $26,000, but there will also be many other costs that Dave and Melissa will be incurring.  I know many of you have reached out to me to ask what you can do to help our friend and his family during this challenging time in their lives.  If you are interested in donating to help offset some of the cost of the construction or with your thoughts and prayers, I know that Dave and Melissa would be humbly appreciative.
