Funds for Crumples!

Crumples is a sweet boy that has been making his home on the porches on and around Union Ave in Hampden for many years. Despite having a rough life, he has survived on the kindness of our neighborhood for shelter, a good meal and the occasional chin scratch. And now Crumples needs our kindness more than ever!

Elana, the owner of his favorite porch, recently came home to find Crumps badly injured with a very large wound on his head. After several days of trying, Elana was finally able to catch him, and take him to the vet. He has been in her care ever since.

Elana has been amazing and has taken care of all of the cost of his care so far herself. In addition to all of the repair, vaccinations, and medications for the bite wound, it was also discovered (via xray) that Crumples had a diaphragmatic hernia and his intestines were actually up in his chest cavity. He had emergency surgery last night and is recovering, but there are still future medical care and procedures (particularly, dental extractions) that he will need. Again, Elana has done all of this for Crumples out of pocket.

The goal of this fundraiser is to be able to cover the cost of medical care that Elana already paid and raise money for future care for Crumples. All money raised will go to Elana.

Crumples has been a wonderful part of our community, and has already brought many people together. We would love to continue to make the rest of his time as good as possible, and also to support Elana, who truly changed his life.
