Funds for Angie's New Life as a Quad Amputee

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Juan and I’m raising money for my mother-in-law Angela Morse. On March 20th Angie had open heart surgery for an aortic valve replacement with a coronary bypass graft. Surgery went without complications, but shortly after her body went into cardiogenic shock. That afternoon she went back to the Cath Lab to be placed on a balloon pump to assist her heart with pumping blood. She was placed on high doses of vasopressors as life support measures to keep her blood pressure up so her vital organs would be perfused with oxygenated blood. The morning of March 21st she went into complete respiratory failure and then was placed on extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). She developed heparin induced thrombocytopenia from receiving heparin. This, along with high doses of vasopressors, compromised all blood flow to her arms and legs, ultimately resulting in the loss of both arms below the elbows and both legs above the knee. Angie has an 11 year old son, a 25 year old daughter and 2 grandkids. All donations will go to help the family with the preparation for her to return home, this would include making the home wheelchair accessible, her medical equipment needs and the purchase of a vehicle to accommodate Angie and her motorized wheelchair to transport her to and from appointments and therapies as a quad amputee striving for independence. Angie appreciates all love and support, whether financial or through prayer. She truly believes she is a living testimony.
Thank you for your time, loving words and all the prayers during this hard time, God bless.
