Funds for Afonso & Help for Aurelia

Dear friends and family,
Afonso Locatelli, our carpenter and dear friend, suffered terrible head injuries and brain damage after falling from a neighbor’s roof on Friday, August 2, 2019. He was rushed to Norwalk Hospital. Doctors performed emergency surgery to relieve cranial pressure. He has been on life support ever since then. Scans show there is no change in Afonso’s condition: he remains unresponsive. We are all devastated. We have prayed to God for his help and mercy for Afonso and his lovely fiancée, Aurelia Calancea.
What we need: We want to raise funds for Aurelia who has been by his bedside day and night since his accident. We want to support Aurelia now as her life has been put on hold through this tragedy.

Let me share some of what has made Afonso such a special guy. Afonso is a perfectionist who has cared deeply about the quality of his work. He replaced roofs, installed skylights, replaced siding, painted the interior and exterior of homes, and many other projects. He would find solutions to home problems where others failed. He made his clients’ homes beautiful, comfortable and safe. Beyond his incredible work ethic and physical strength, he cared so much about his clients. He has been a fun and engaging friend. His concern for us and our families created bonds of friendship that have lasted years. We would invite him back to help us in our home improvement projects because of these great relationships, and our faith in him and the quality of his work. Aurelia has been a wonderful and much loved companion to Afonso for many years.
We want to honor our friend who has cared for us above and beyond expectation.
