Hi, I’m raising money on behalf of a beautiful, gentle soul who has been struggling for a while. This is her story:

بِسْمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيْمِ

السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

I'm a sister who is currently homeless and living in a temporary accommodation with several chronic medical conditions / disabilities. My chronic illnesses / medical conditions are due to the accumulation of years of abuse and trauma. I ended up homeless after getting a divorce.

I unfortunately don't have any family, close friends or community to reach out to for help. I have reached out in the past to some masjids and unfortunately I've either been taken advantage of, humiliated or belittled so I don't want to do that again as it left me severely depressed and suicidal for a long time.

Unfortunately, I don't have the ability to work due to my disabilities / chronic illnesses nor do I receive any extra government benefits to help (no PIP, no LCW etc).

I'd greatly appreciate anything you can donate inshaa'Allah to help. I'm in great need of some winter clothing and a winter coat as I lost everything when I was homeless. My medical conditions get worse in the winter, especially without warm clothing, particularly my arthritis. I'd greatly appreciate any donations to buy a winter coat, winter boots and some winter clothing, may Allah bless you.

I'd greatly appreciate any donations to help me with affording groceries this month and paying for my electricity bill as I'm scared they're going to cut it off and I don't have enough money for groceries.

*The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “The dearest of people to Allah, may He be exalted, is the one who does most benefit to people, and the dearest of deeds to Allah, may He be exalted, is joy that you bring to a Muslim, or relieving him of distress, or paying off debt for him, or dispelling his hunger. And to walk with a brother to meet his needs is dearer to me than observing i‘tikaaf in this mosque – meaning the mosque of Madinah – for a month.”*
