Dog Lover Rescue rescues dogs from kill shelters and dogs in urgent medical need and finds them the loving forever homes, they have always deserved, but never gotten.

Taking in a dog that has just been hit by a car or a breeding mama dumped with horrible mammary tumors, many cases I save require major surgery. And typically, this is in the thousands for one dog. Sometimes, multiple surgeries are required and sometimes, wheels and more wheels as they grow, as with my last few paralyzed dogs. I never know what these costs will end up at, but I firmly believe every life deserves the care and effort we would each hope for, and these dogs would absolutely give us. And every precious pup lives a life in gratitude that blesses so many other lives- it is simply ALWAYS worth the fight. For those I pull off death row, even vaccinations, spay/ neuter, crates, bed, food, treats, toys and any other stuff that comes up along the way, can average, $600-800. If there are no fosters, boarding is necessary and that can be between $25-45/ night. Transportation to NY from whatever high kill state has been as high as $800 when you have to pay private drivers to simply hurry and get them out of the shelter, alive. Typically, large rescue transports that carry many on runs up to the northeast, are $225 - $250 / dog and Health Certificates are another $40-60/ each to travel. But, when you have committed to save a dog and no transport is available and that girl needs out, or else she dies, you do whatever you have to do to ensure she stays alive. The unexpected happens every day and in a field where you have these little lives that rely on you and have already been so failed by humans or fought so hard to live until now…I’m not giving up over a price tag, I have to fight that much harder & figure it out every time. These funds will allow me to do this. As it is, the rescue is very low on funds and unable to pull the urgent cases I want to help. It’s endless, grueling and words can’t express how heartbreaking it is every day, but these innocent angels deserve nothing less than us fighting for them! They would give their own lives for us in a heartbeat. When I ultimately see them safe, happy and cherished in their forever homes, oh, there is no better feeling in this world. We are their only voice. We can demand change by working together. Dogs deserve this. Be an advocate and please share what you can! Help me, help them. Every life matters.
