I'm thankful for your dropping by. I am reaching out for my dear friend Heidi Cohen who has cancer, little funds and really needs your heart and help.
My dear friend Heidi whom I have known for 25 years, has spent the last 10 years dealing with 3 other cancers; Melanoma, Breast, Uterine, and now in April 2019 she was diagnosed with Stage 4 endometrial cancer and is presently doing chemo. This is after spending two years healing (emotionally and physically) from a radical hysterectomy. SO it has been a lot for any woman… but Heidi is a strong positive force. However, it is has been a tough ride, and although she’s a tough girl I feel now she is feeling the effects of what cancer can do to your life on many levels.
She has gone through all these experiences with grace and strength.
All after losing her job. All while her medical bills continue to pile without enough government assistance. All while dealing with insufficient medical insurance that does not cover all the expenses especially alternative treatments, co-payments, vitamins, care takers, healthy food and transportation. Nor does it cover everyday normal needs like rent, insurances.
So now she is really needing financial help. I am reaching out on her behalf as asking for help is uncomfortable for her. I have donated a beautiful custom made wig which we made for her that has certainly helped with her spirit, but the financial reality she is faced with is still daunting every moment.
Heidi intention is to do what is needed to stay positive, heal, and get healthy so she can get her life back and go back to the work she has done for 20 years working as an excellent executive assistant. But to attain this, she really needs financial help. Her vitamins and medications not covered under her insurance are absolutely outrageous.
Finding a job while battling cancer is not easy.
Working part time, is maybe a possibility but will not cover her bills.
She’s taking a difficult diagnosis and turning it into something positive the best she can. Playing with wigs, make-up, attending support groups, and learning how to overcome the daily challenges of this crazy disease is a 24/7 job, but she is strong and her tumors are shrinking thank God and her stats are looking so much better.
However she must continue on the medical protocol given to her is she is to heal.
I know if she were living with less stress and were able to get everything she needed to heal, Heidi would be able to have her life back.
What we really need to sustain a healthy protocol is 25,000 dollars.
Anything you can send is appreciated, big or small it all will help. If you could also forward this to anyone you know and possibly even post this on your social media, hopefully we can really raise this money quickly and get her the help she needs.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
