Who I Am

My name is Avash Bomjan, and I am based in Melbourne, Australia. I am the organiser of this fundraiser, working closely with trusted community members and coordinators in Nepal to make sure the funds raised here reach the right families in need.

How the Funds Will Be Used

NGO Partnership

We are partnered with Nepal Rising (Daayitwa US), a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the United States (EIN: 82-4990055). Nepal Rising is committed to transparency, accountability, and full legal compliance.

Distribution Plan

50% of funds will go directly to families of deceased victims through verified bank transfers.

50% will be administered by Nepal Rising to support injured victims and long-term sustainable relief programs.

All funds will be securely transferred via bank transfer into Nepal Rising’s verified accounts before distribution.

Current Verification Status

The Government of Nepal has not yet released an official victims list. While we wait, we have been conducting manual verification with community support.

So far:

53 names collected in total

18 families fully verified

11 families currently in the verification process

This progress has been made possible through the support of community members and a respected doctor in Nepal who has been assisting in the verification process.

Transparency Measures

We are committed to full transparency with donors. To ensure this, we maintain two spreadsheets:

An internal spreadsheet with sensitive beneficiary information (kept private).

A public-facing spreadsheet for donors, where sensitive details are redacted but progress can still be tracked in real time.

Acknowledgment

Nepal is currently experiencing instability, which has slowed down official reporting and verification. Despite these challenges, I remain fully committed to ensuring that every cent is delivered responsibly and transparently to those in need.
