Hashnoorpreet Kaur was an 18-year-old international student who arrived in Ottawa on April 23, 2024, to study at Algonquin College. She was filled with hope and ambition, ready to pursue her dreams. Tragically, on August 18, 2024, Hashnoorpreet spoke with her mother for the last time. Just two hours later, her family received the heartbreaking news that she had been involved in an accident.

During her short time in Canada, her parents invested over 30 lakh rupees in her visa and academic expenses, believing in her bright future. Now, in their profound grief, they are faced with the difficult task of bringing their beloved daughter back to India for one final farewell. With their finances already stretched thin from supporting Hashnoorpreet’s education, they are struggling to cover the costs of her repatriation.
