Fundraising to help support Nicky’s fight against Cancer

As I'm sure many of you know, Nicky was diagnosed with Stage Three Colon Cancer in July 2024. Nicky had her entire colon removed during her first surgery in September 2024. Shortly afterward her CT revealed an "unknown mass" in her liver. At this time, it was expected that the cancer has spread to the liver. She then underwent another surgery in December 2024, to have a portion of her liver and more lymph nodes removed for testing. Thankfully that mass did end up being benign. The cancer had not spread past the colon and the lymph nodes of the colon. Nicole is now receiving chemotherapy in Barrhead and they are anticipating 6 or possibly more treatments depending on her ability to handle the treatment. As well she is traveling to Edmonton regularly for CT scans and other preventative testing. Nicole has been off work, with very minimal income assistance since July 2024. Anyone who knows Nicky knows I would have made a way for donations long ago, had she not been too proud to allow it. She is stubborn, as a lifelong resident of Swan Hills I am sure you all know her too well. She is the strongest woman I have ever known, she has been my best friend for over 20 years. She has one of the hugest hearts, even though she tries to hide it. She has two beautiful kids, and two beautiful grandchildren. No one deserves cancer, and this is a very cruel and unfair fate. That being said, unfortunately the world does not stop when you are fighting a battle of this magnitude. As a single woman/mother & grandmother with this battle lasting into the foreseeable future, any help would be incredibly appreciated. Thank you for your support!!!
