About the Organizer

This fundraiser is organized by Areej Ghazal, who is raising funds to support the Al Qahwaji family.

I am based in Canada, and together with my sister, Iman Ghazal, who is based in Qatar, We have been in ongoing communication with them and are supporting them directly during this time. Iman Ghazal also assists in ensuring that funds are delivered to the family.

Their Story

We are raising funds to support the Al Qahwaji family, who have been deeply affected by the ongoing war in Gaza.

Their family home in Khan Younis was destroyed along with their entire neighborhood, leaving them displaced and struggling to access even the most basic necessities.

The family includes Mohammed Al Qahwaji, along with his elderly mother, siblings, and young children — all of whom are relying on this support to get through extremely difficult conditions.

In addition to losing their home and livelihood, the family also suffered a devastating personal loss. Their father passed away last year after a heart attack. Due to the conditions at the time, including active violence and the inability to safely reach medical care, he was unable to receive emergency treatment in time.

Before the war, the family had begun building a small business in real estate and livestock. Like everything else, this was completely disrupted, leaving them without income or stability.

How Your Support Reaches Them

Due to limited access to banking services, funds are received through Salman Al Qahwaji, who has access to a bank account. He ensures that all funds are transferred to Mohammed Al Qahwaji and used to support the family members listed above for their daily needs.

Transparency & Accountability

A previous fundraiser was created to support Mohammed directly. Due to logistical challenges related to fund transfer methods, that campaign was discontinued.

This campaign has been restructured to ensure clarity and consistency, with funds received through one individual and distributed to support all listed beneficiaries.

We remain committed to transparency and can provide updates and documentation, where possible.
