Fundraising funeral expense for my beloved Father

Hi, My name is Wah Eh Htoo, My Father Saw Htoo unexpectedly died from Heart Attack on 25th January 2023 in Thailand, while visiting and helping people who needed the most.

Before the incident, My father, Mother and two sisters were on a holiday visiting some of the refugee camps in Thailand. They were visiting sick people, prayed for them and gave food etc. to the refugees who have fled from Burma (Myanmar) due to ongoing conflict in Burma (Myanmar).

He loved helping people, a devoted husband, Father and friend to those who knew him. Mr. Saw Htoo was the best husband and father a family could ask for and I/we are lost without him.

My father remaining is currently in Thailand, and three of our siblings including my Husband Jemeriah are currently in the process of applying for a passport to travel to Thailand. We thought of bringing him back to Australia, but we know it is going to put a lot of burden on the families financially. We know that financially it will be hard for families, relatives, and donors to support us, after discussing with all family members, we decide to bring him home to Australia.

We thought a lot about it, whether to bring him home or have a funeral in Thailand. Financially it is hard for us. after all, he was and is still our Father, who has raised us with love, and respect. We couldn't let his funeral take place in Thailand. We felt that we are not fulfilling our duties as his beloved children and families. Most of all if we have a funeral taking place in Thailand, we wouldn't be able to see them as often as we wish whenever we missed him with that reason we have decided to bring him home. We know we ask a lot of the donor, but at the same time, we think you'd understand our decision. The last thing I can do for my Father is to say Goodbye for the very Last time.

We decided to have a funeral take place in Thailand. We aren't sure how much it will cost us. I am raising money to cover the cost of Fundraising funeral expenses for my beloved Father.

I’m overwhelmed by the support shown so far and can’t thank you all enough for helping our family during this time.
