More information about WIRES mission is to actively rehabilitate and preserve Australian wildlife and inspire others to do the same. WIRES assists tens of thousands of animals every year and last financial year received over 95,000 requests for rescue assistance. Currently we are facing the biggest event in our history as bushfires have burned 5 million hectares of forests and an estimated 1 billion native animals have lost their lives.
