Hello. My name is Saranne and I am asking for help for a very special little Frenchie called Trudy.

Trudy is an essential part of the team at an animal rescue and is loved by staff, volunteers and the public alike. She is always there with licks and cuddles when we have a sad or stressful day. She definitely helps to keep our mental health thriving here and everyone is so worried for her.

Trudy was taken on as a rescue by her mom with hip dysplasia, luxating patellas and skin issues. She had been overlooked many times due to this and had been waiting for a long time for someone willing to give her a loving home. Because of these pre-existing conditions, and her breed, pet insurance has been impossible to find for her.

Now Trudy has developed a salivary mucocele, a swelling caused by saliva leaking from a damaged gland or duct in her neck.

She will need specialised treatment, including a CT scan and surgery to remove the damaged gland by a specialist soft tissue surgeon. Her mom is now facing a bill of between £4000 and £8000 for this essential treatment.

I don't often ask for help, but Trudy's mom has already paid out a lot of money on medication and treatment for her existing isssues, plus others she has developed along the way, including urinary problems, and allergies. We love Trudy so much and really want her to be okay. Without treatment, it will become more and more difficult for Trudy to breath and swallow and the long-term prognosis isn't good.

I know times are hard but please help this very lovely girl if you can. Just a couple of pounds would be so gratefully received if you can spare it.
