Medical & Final Expenses

In October 2019, Matthew was diagnosed with cancer.  After doing countless hours of research, speaking with people who have battled cancer as well and discussing it with family… He decided to try and fight the natural/holistic route. He changed his diet, work schedule, started taking RSO, CBD, MMJ and a bunch of herbal supplements.  Ultimately, he wanted to avoid chemotherapy and radiation treatments as long as possible. 

However, recent tests, an endoscopy and biopsy have determined the cancer has spread to his stomach and is now terminal.  Doctors have stressed the need for aggressive chemo and radiation treatments, if he’s to survive more than the 6-9 months they’ve projected.  He’s 36 years old…

Matt is an Uber/Lyft Driver.  It’s the job he can reasonably do, because past surgeries left him with permanent nerve damage and chronic pain, on top of everything.  Matt has worked 40+ hours a week, no matter how much pain he was in or how drained he felt.  He pushed through it all.  Matt is a hard worker, has always been independent and has never liked asking anyone for help.  Recently he’s come to the hard realization that this is something he’s not able to do on his own anymore.

Matt is also an artist and has several paintings for sale. If anyone is interested in adding a piece of artwork to your home or office please let us know.  He would honestly rather sell a painting, than ask for help.

We are putting together a fundraising event for his birthday, since it may end up being his last.  Anyone who contributes to the event or this gofundme campaign, will be entered into a raffle drawing to win an original artwork of Matt’s , signed and personalized.
