My name is Leo Gutierrez. I am from Santa Fe, NM but originally from Chicago, Illinois. I attended the Illinois School for the deaf, where I played varsity basketball team for three years; then, I played college basketball at Gallaudet University under head coach John Becker, now head coach for Vermont University (NCAA Division 1 school). In the term of my basketball coaching career started in 2010. NMSD gave me the ample opportunity to be the assistant coach and then Head coach for New Mexico School for the Deaf in Santa Fe, NM, under a democratic and Laissez-Faire coaching style NMSD currently, Athletics Director and former head coach Letty Perez, I also was an as assistant Coach at Northern New Mexico College (NAIA Division 2 school) for three years. Owned deaf-business T3 Think, train, thrive, LLC founded in 2020--licensed Basketball instructor. Now, 4th is humbly honored to be part of the USA Deaf Basketball team as an assistant coach. I am the assistant coach of the USA Deaf Basketball team along with the head coach, Jamel "Sekoe" White, and assistants Mike Kent and Gerald Brown are among the top coaches of elite Deaf Basketball in the nation selected to represent Team USA coach in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on November 1-11, 2022.
This time, I want to bemoan my gullibility and ask for your support in my endeavors. All young lads required a superior coach with excellent management abilities. The team needs $4500 for hotel accommodations, meals, basketball equipment, and foreign travel. These elements for the activities are essential for the team since they will help make it easier and more comfortable to participate in the international basketball activity. The coach and the administrators provide these exercises to up the intensity and level of competition on the squad.
Honestly, it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to serve the team, achieve a gold medal, and push Deaf basketball forward. It comes at a cost, as do all good things. It is a considerable weight to carry on the first won goal medal since 1999; in contrast to other regionally competitive teams at all levels, amateur to professional, the Deaf basketball program is underfunded. Fortunately, crowdfunding ventures have consistently demonstrated raising funds through my connections. Generosity from people like you is always the fundamental factor that renders everything possible.
Providing these funds will make it possible to keep our USA Deaf Men's Basketball Team interested despite their competitive and great experience for every one of us. In addition to the previously listed basic needs, the money will help the squad operate its operations and motivate the players. With proper funding, our USA Deaf Men's Basketball team is determined to bring the gold medal home with our PRIDE.
I promised you all that this AUTHENTIC USA Deaf Men's basketball team is definitely fun to watch and will have an exciting basketball game. The love of the game has existed for as long as the game itself, although the history of Deaf Basketball in the USA Deaf Basketball is relatively recent. Keep you all posted on the live-stream information.
The deadline for funding is October 10, 2022. The monetary will return the sum given if the event is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances; donations will be returned.
Lastly, Thank you for supporting my dream of a lifetime by supporting me here through GoFundMe or mailing it out to USADB and Memo: Leonardo Gutierrez, which is fine with me.
