Hi I’m Steve Evans, a retired PE teacher and ex rugby player and now a member of the Fullarton Wheelers Cycling Club, now living in Troon.
Last year in late October, I lost my best friend of eight years, Cariad a much loved English bulldog. In her memory I have challenged myself to cycle 10,000 miles in 2025 for the Edward Foundation, who offer a fantastic service in rescuing, treating and re homing bulldogs.
Many of whom are brought in, are in a terrible condition and require veterinary treatment.
Want to join me in making a difference? I’m raising money to benefit The Edward Foundation, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
More information about The Edward Foundation: The Edward Foundation was founded in March 2011 when a group of people on a Bulldog Owners Forum were made aware of a Bulldog who was being advertised at stud and later for sale on the internet. He was in a terrible condition. After receiving no help from reporting to the relevant authorities it was decided to raise the funds and get him out of a dire situation, He inspired us to start this Foundation in his honour, to help the bulldogs at risk of abuse being and used as a commodity.
