300,000 Steps for The Daisy Network.
I am taking on the challenge of walking 300,000 steps to raise awareness for Premature Ovarian Insufficiency (POI) and to raise vital funds for The Daisy Network, the only UK charity dedicated to supporting women with this condition.
What is POI?
Premature Ovarian Insufficiency is when the ovaries stop functioning normally before the age of 40. It can have a huge impact on health, fertility, and emotional wellbeing, yet awareness remains very low.
• 1 in 100 women are affected under the age of 40
• 1 in 1,000 women under the age of 30
• 1 in 10,000 women under the age of 20
POI can be caused by many factors including autoimmune disease, genetic causes, infections, surgery, cancer treatment, or—most commonly—without a known cause (idiopathic).
Why The Daisy Network?
The Daisy Network is the only charity in the UK that exists specifically to support and empower women living with POI. They provide information, resources, and a community for those navigating this condition, which affects thousands of women but is often overlooked.
Every step I take is for the women whose journeys with POI go unseen.
Every donation helps The Daisy Network continue their vital work.
Thank you so much for your support—it truly makes a difference.
