Hello everyone, I’m Kristen, Katie’s sister and Joel’s sister-in-law. As many of you know Joel recently had a trip to the hospital after experiencing jaundice and fatigue. There he had his gallbladder removed and was informed by the doctors that this could likely be a form of cancer. A few weeks after his surgery, Joel was diagnosed with a form of biliary cancer and has been out of work since October. Later this month, Joel will have another stent placed. Following, he will have a port placed and begin his first round of chemotherapy.

For now, Joel cannot return to work. He is a hard-worker, great father, and the main provider for the Corley family. He is a talented and dedicated drummer for the worship team at his church which is one of his passions. Katie teaches pre-school and takes care of their 4 year old Olivia while Joel is at work. They also provide for Maci(10), Cash (13), and Caden (15). Drew is Joel’s oldest who is 25. This, of course, has had a huge impact on their financial situation and is making it difficult for ends to meet especially with the medical bills coming in.

With the support and prayers of Joel’s friends and family (and even strangers!), we are confident God will bring us all through this storm.
