Hello! My name is Maya and I'm a sophomore in high school from Colorado. I’m a straight A honors student and am constantly looking for ways to prepare for the future. After high school, my dream would be to become a pediatric neurologist.
I recently got information from my school about an incredible opportunity. The nonprofit company "Leadership Initiatives Youth Development Programs" has several summer programs including a week-long advanced medical neuroscience internship in Washington DC. Not only will I participate in incredible research related to the career I want to go into, but the program also provides SAT prep, letters of recommendation, college essay assistance, and other important information that will help me in my college search process.
The program tuition is $4000 and I am incredibly grateful to have received a $1000 scholarship. That means the remaining funds are:
$3000 for tuition
$1000 for travel expenses (approx.)
This would be such a cool experience to help me gain exposure to the field I want to enter, get a headstart on college applications, and give me an overall great foundation to start my future.

I would appreciate any contribution as my goal is to take the financial burden off my parents as much as possible. Thank you!
