Hi, my name is Sophie, and I've been given an incredible opportunity to travel to Sweden with the Fire Angel Leadership Foundation alongside 7 other Cadets from across the UK. I'm proud to be representing Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service on this expedition.

During this expedition, we will be learning new skills, pushing our limits and facing new challenges, including camping in the snow for 5 nights. We travel to Sweden on the 15th February and return the following Saturday.

As a part of this experience, all cadets are required to fundraise the cost of our plane tickets, which can cost up to £700. Any additional money raised will be donated to Alder Hey Children's Charity.

To help reach this goal, over the following months I will be taking part in a series of challenges, including a hike up Wales' highest mountain, Snowdon, a 10-mile walk along Liverpools water front and a series of fitness challenges.

This is such a rare and special opportunity, and I am so grateful for the Fire Angels team for offering me the chance to take part. I would be hugely appreciative of any support in helping me reach this goal!
