Fundraising for Shannon McCooey

Hello everyone, my name is Rebekah and I am fundraising money for my best friend of 23 years. At the age of 14 years old Shannon was diagnosed with Type 1 Juvenile diabetes. For many years her health has been a battle but she has remained the strong, determined, self sufficient woman we know her to be. Last January she was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure and in April Stage 4 kidney failure. Shannon is now undergoing dialysis multiple times a week while we patiently wait on the transplant list at ECMC for a kidney and pancreas. For those of you who are unaware, Shannon is a elementary school teacher at Catholic academy of West Buffalo. Due to dialysis, her mental and physical health has been declining which has caused her to be out of work for the future months ahead.
