Fundraising for Shana's memorial costs

It is with great sadness that we are setting this Go Fund Me up. On February 4, 2021, I learned that Shana (Shay Shay) my 22 year old niece was tragically murdered in Surrey, BC. that morning. Shana was always funny, very smart and a beautiful soul. Shana loved helping others and loved her animals. Her dog recently birthed 6 puppies in January. Shana had a very special place in my heart and she deeply touched those that knew her.
We are hoping to raise a minimum of $15,000 to cover the costs of her headstone in Surrey Funding is still required for this), where Shana was born and raised with her 6 siblings and many of her close friends live. We also would like to have a park bench dedicated to her at the Dog Park on Vedder Road (Update: memorial park bench purchased in February 2021, installed March 2021. Thank you ). Her mom, and other family reside here in Chilliwack and do not have the means to travel to Surrey regularly to be with Shana. Also, as only a basic cardboard burial box will be covered, we are hoping to upgrade her casket to a proper wooden casket and upgrade her burial plot to accommodate an upright headstone. (Update: casket and plot upgrade was purchased in February 2021. Thank you.)
