Fundraising for Our Morgan

Dear Reader,
My name is Margie Banker, and I created this fundraiser to assist my aunt and uncle. My uncle Morgan was diagnosed with glioblastoma--terminal brain cancer--in August of 2024. After 18+ months of treatment and a hopeful recovery period, he was readmitted to the hospital early this Summer due to tumor regrowth. Following surgery, recovery was slow and his doctors recommended hospice mid-August.
He is now receiving palliative care in hospice, and the doctors say that he is actively in his final stages of life. We are now turning to you all--our communities near and far--for assistance with continued care, bills, and funeral costs in order to prepare for his inevitable passing. Though Morgan continues to fight, our family hopes to prepare as much as possible before this in order to allow us time to grieve his loss as a family.
My dear aunt, Morgan's life partner of over 20 years, has taken untold time off--using all of her FMLA, and now unpaid time--in order to be by his side on a daily basis. She has kept her head held high in the face of this difficult circumstance, as we all have; however, bills are mounting and my uncle will soon pass.
That's where you all come in. We, as a family, are asking for financial assistance to help support my aunt through the coming months. Our goal is steep, but here is a breakdown of estimated costs:
$3,000 - medical costs associated with continued care
$3,000 - catching up on household bills, compensation for unpaid time off
$3,000 - estimated cost of actual cremation services in Wisconsin
$600 - costs associated with urns, etc; possible small urns for close family, etc.
$400 - memorial service
Total - $10,000
We understand that these are hard times for everyone, and appreciate any donation--no matter how small--made to support Morgan and our family during this difficult time. If you do not have the ability to donate, please consider sharing within your network.
Warmest Regards,
Morgan's Family
