Fundraising for Mr & Ms Bourland (aka Ms B & Don)

Barbara and Donald Bourland have dedicated their lives to helping others! Barbara, otherwise known as “Ms. B.” has been teaching Lifeguarding and Water Safety to high school kids through Glendale Unified School District for the past 20+ years. She has certified countless lifeguards who have gone on to work at a variety of places serving the local community. You might even be one of those lifeguards. She still works for the City of Glendale helping to certify new staff in First Aid & CPR and giving updates on emerging training trends.

Her hubby Don has always been there to help, whether it’s to carry equipment, drive to different locations, assist with class instruction, or just have a chat!

Unfortunately, Don is currently having some significant health issues, has been in the hospital since December 12 and was just moved to a rehabilitation facility on January 9. He will remain there until he is strong enough to get home. Ms. B. has been by his side night and day because he needs continuous care, whether at the rehab facility or at home, and she can’t do it alone.

Don and Barbara have been married for 62 years, have 1 son and they live locally in Eagle Rock, CA. This fundraiser is a way to raise funds to help Don and Ms. B. through this difficult time. Their medical expenses are growing each day, and they are struggling to make ends meet. Ms. B. is also preparing for end-of-life arrangements for both her and Don. Don is currently in the ICU at Huntington Hospital moving into hospice. Thank you in advance for your consideration and generosity.
