We (Krystal and Dan's friends) are raising funds for my dear friend Krystal, a student, who is facing unimaginable loss and hardship after the tragic passing of her partner.

Dan Elkayam, a 27-year-old French-Jewish engineer, was killed in the mass shooting at Bondi on December 14, during Hanukkah. Dan was taken far too soon, and Krystal is now navigating profound grief while suddenly having to face life on her own.

Krystal and Dan lived together and shared household expenses, including rent and bills. With Dan’s sudden passing, Krystal is now solely responsible for covering these shared financial commitments on her own.

As a student, and during this incredibly difficult period of mourning, Krystal is currently unable to work and is struggling to pay rent, ongoing bills, and basic living expenses. No one should have to face such financial pressure while grieving such a devastating loss.
