Our friend, Josh (Jonathan) Vickery sadly passed away in August 2021 after contracting Meningitis at the young age of 40

Bridgwater Cricket Club are thrilled to announce the latest event to support Meningitis Now in their quest to ensure a brighter future, where no one dies from meningitis and anyone affected gets the support they need to live a happy, full and complete life.

With this in mind the Cricket Club would also like to support Josh & Jess’s 3 wonderful children by way of a trust fund for the children to utilise when they are older.

 

Starting from Sheffield Hallam university which Josh attended for his studies.

Players & members of Bridgwater Cricket Club will embark on an epic 4 day cycle covering approximately 325 miles.

 

Day 1 Sheffield Hallam Uni to Anfield

Day 2 Anfield to Kidderminster

Day 3 Kidderminster to Bristol

Day 4 Bristol to Bridgwater

The cycle will commence on Wednesday 14th September and arrive back into Bridgwater Cricket Club on Saturday 17th September for a family fun afternoon and evening including food & drinks

 

We are also hopeful that we will have a representative from Meningitis Now in attendance to highlight the fantastic work that they are doing to raise awareness and to help combat this deadly disease.
