Hello, my name is Ismaila Drammeh and I am from Gambia. I am 27 years old and currently live with my younger siblings.

I had to drop out of school due to financial difficulties and the heartbreaking loss of my parents. Since we lost our mother, our lives have changed completely. Most recently, in April 2025, we lost our father and our little sister. I pray that my parents and my little sister are safe and at peace in heaven.

In this lonely world, it is hard to survive without parents, but we continue to hold on to God’s hand. There are days when we go without food, and it breaks my heart to see my little siblings crying in hunger while I am unable to help. When we do have food, we usually eat only once a day. That is why I am reaching out to kind-hearted people, to all brothers and sisters out there, asking for help. We pray that Allah (SWT) may guide you to support us in any way you can. Truly, goodness comes from the heart.

But I believe that everything happens for a reason. I know these hardships won’t last forever—every trial has an end. I will never give up, and I will never lose hope. I will continue pushing forward on this journey, no matter how hard it gets.

My younger siblings also need to start school, and we are in need of support for school supplies—books, bags, and shoes. Please, my brothers and sisters, if you are able to donate anything at all, it would mean the world to us. Anything from the heart will be deeply appreciated.

Hallo, mein Name ist Ismaila Drammeh und ich komme aus Gambia. Ich bin 27 Jahre alt und lebe derzeit mit meinen jüngeren Geschwistern zusammen.

Aufgrund finanzieller Schwierigkeiten und des schmerzlichen Verlusts meiner Eltern musste ich die Schule abbrechen. Seit wir unsere Mutter verloren haben, hat sich unser Leben völlig verändert. Vor kurzem, im April 2025, haben wir unseren Vater und unsere kleine Schwester verloren. Ich bete, dass meine Eltern und meine kleine Schwester sicher und in Frieden im Himmel sind.

In dieser einsamen Welt ist es schwer, ohne Eltern zu überleben, aber wir halten uns weiterhin an Gottes Hand fest. Es gibt Tage, an denen wir nichts zu essen haben, und es bricht mir das Herz, meine kleinen Geschwister vor Hunger weinen zu sehen, während ich nicht helfen kann. Wenn wir etwas zu essen haben, essen wir meist nur einmal am Tag. Deshalb wende ich mich an gutherzige Menschen, an alle Brüder und Schwestern da draußen, und bitte um Hilfe. Wir beten, dass Allah Sie dazu leitet, uns auf jede erdenkliche Weise zu unterstützen. Wahrlich, Güte kommt aus dem Herzen.

Aber ich glaube, dass alles aus einem bestimmten Grund geschieht. Ich weiß, dass diese Nöte nicht ewig andauern werden - jede Prüfung hat ein Ende. Ich werde niemals aufgeben und die Hoffnung nicht verlieren. Ich werde auf diesem Weg weitergehen, egal wie schwer es wird.

Meine jüngeren Geschwister müssen auch eingeschult werden, und wir brauchen Unterstützung für Schulmaterial - Bücher, Taschen und Schuhe. Bitte, meine Brüder und Schwestern, wenn Sie irgendetwas spenden können, würde das für uns die Welt bedeuten. Alles, was von Herzen kommt, wird von uns sehr geschätzt.
