Guiding Grayson: Friends Fundraising for Grayson

Grayson is a 9-year-old living in Tipp City. He's going into the 4th grade. Grayson loves his little brothers, playing video games, being outside but he especially loves his friends. As he says his friends, "support him." They guide him, include him, and yet they learn daily from Grayson.

Grayson is legally blind, actually 4x the legally blind definition. His current acuity is 20/800. He has lost his central vision and only relies on his peripheral vision. There may come a time when Grayson loses all vision.

He visits an ophthalmologist in Iowa City, a trip we drive 7 hours to. Nationwide Children's in Columbus is also another doctor we frequent often.

Grayson is living with a disease that affects his vision, but also can affect other areas of his body like his speech, mobility and cognitive skills. It's a life limiting disease. That is why we fundraise. We fundraise to keep Grayson going to the absolute best doctors, stay on his very expensive and important medicine ($9,000/month if insurance decides to not cover - a cost we've had to pay), and funds for his future needs.

There are a few things that we live by... HOPE, living every moment to its fullest and friendship. Without any of those we wouldn't be where we are today.

This summer Grayson's friends are putting on a series of popup lemonade stands called... The Lemonade Lab. You can purchase lemonade, t-shirts and a few extra surprises to support Grayson. 100% of sales will be going to Grayson's Medical Fund.

$5,000 is our main fundraising goal this summer of 2025! We will include the sales from the stands to this specific GoFundMe. You can also send in a donation if you'd like to help Grayson.
