FUNDRAISING FOR FLO C2C
Donation protected
Flo is my six year old daughter who during the summer of 2021, a week after her sixth birthday was diagnosed with High Risk Neuroblastoma. Flo is a very caring little girl who is extremely passionate about the environment and saving the planet. Flo has regularly gone on litter picks in our village in her own words 'doing her little bit for the environment'.
Flo's tumour began in her adrenal gland and has spread to her lymph nodes and bone marrow. She has already had 8 cycles of intense chemotherapy, which lasted for 70 days. Following this, Flo will have a bone marrow/stem cell harvest and transplant and high dose chemotherapy. After this Flo may require further surgery and radiotherapy. Finally Flo will need some anti body treatment. Her treatment will last around 18 months.
I along with seven others will be cycling the coast to coast route, starting in White Haven finishing in Sunderland. Flo has been extremely brave and positive throughout her treatment to date. Nothing has been too daunting for her and he has taken every stage of treatment in her stride. The funds raised will be put towards treatment only currently available in America. This treatment is still in a trial in America and may not be suitable for Flo. In which case the money will be donated to some of the amazing charities which have helped Flo during her treatment.
