Hello,
My name is Charlotte.
Myself and my daughter, Effie - 6 years old, are making bracelets (made with love) to raise funds this Baby loss awareness week (9th-15th October 2025) to support Burton Hospital in raising funds for resources needed when families find themselves in tragic situations like ours.

If you don’t already know our story, in June 2023 I sadly lost my daughter Immie at full term just 7 hours after an emergency c-section birth, due to a placental abruption and Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy.
When Immie was born she was resuscitated but sadly her condition was too severe and deterioration was fast, she sadly died in my arms at 7 hours old.

We have been fundraising since her death, for both the Snowdrop Suite at Burton hospital and Sands, raising over £13,000 to date direct to charities.

After speaking to my bereavement nurse, the hospital have been informed that when a baby needs to use the cooling cot, like immie did, they are no longer able to wash the sheets and blankets, these are one time use.
Therefore we are raising funds to purchase some cot sheets and knitted blankets for this purpose, so that each baby like Immie gets to be comfy and warm in their special cot.
Any additional funds will also go towards special keep sake resources for parents and families in the shape of memories such as - keepsake boxes, casting resources, hand prints, stories, teddies etc.
We are asking for a £2 donation for a bracelet - please see the images of the bracelets - as you may already know Effie called Immie ‘Bumblebee’ whilst I was pregnant and so our bee theme has always been prevalent since her death.

Each £2 donated will be for a bracelet which can be posted, dropped off by us if local or collected from our home.

PLEASE NOTE!!!!
Please make sure you state YOUR NAME on your donation please DO NOT BE ANONYMOUS - if there are anonymous donations we won’t know who to send the bracelet to!

Also please bare with us as we make them, we don’t know how big this will be so will work out best to get them made as fast as we can!
*additionally if you can knit and would like to knit a WHITE baby blanket to donate please let me know.*

THANK YOU in advance to everyone who support our BLAW fundraiser.
(ALL money raised will go directly to resources not for personal use)
*bracelets will either be black or yellow string and will be allocated randomly*

Love the Iliffes x
