Fundraising for Debabrata's Family

Dear Friends and Family,

Our brother, Debabrata Sahu(“Debu”), left us on Thursday, 22nd of July, for his heavenly abode after a valiant fight with cancer. The whole family and friends are devasted with this irrecoverable loss.

If you have met Debu, you probably have never forgotten his innocent smile that always lit a room. He was a kind spirit, always eager to lend a helping hand to whoever he met. He spent a good part of his time serving the needy and homeless in the US. During the weekends he used to visit the homeless shelters with his family, preparing hot meals for the needy or helping members of the senior living have a joyful weekend.

Debu is survived by his son Chinmay, a junior at the University of Minnesota & wife Jyotsna, whom he loved with all his heart. Debu will be missed not only by his family but by everyone whose life he touched. Debu always took great pride in education and wished good education and a successful career path for his only son, Chinmay.

Debu was the primary bread earner for his family. His family has been financially shattered by this tragedy. We have started a fund to help out his family with medical, funeral, or other expenses that may arise. We want to help alleviate some of the financial hardship for his wife, Jyotsna, and son Chinmay.
