Support Life-Saving Thalassaemia Care in Afghanistan

Fundraising Event – Sunday 30th November at The Imperial Banqueting, Preston

Across Afghanistan, thousands of children living with thalassaemia face a daily struggle to survive. Many are born with this inherited blood disorder that requires regular transfusions and constant medical care – yet in most parts of the country, the essential medicines, nutrition and safe blood supplies simply aren’t available.

This campaign supports the Association of Afghan Healthcare Professionals UK (AAHPUK) in delivering thalassaemia care and support to children in Kabul and other provinces, through hospital partnerships, medicine delivery, and improving facilities. Your donations will help fund:

- Essential medication for children who can’t afford treatment

- Expansion of hospital thalassaemia wards

- Digital patient systems and staff training to improve long-term care

Every pound raised will make a direct difference — giving children who may never reach adulthood without help a real chance at life.

About the Event

The Preston Muslim Community, in collaboration with AAHPUK, is hosting a Family Fundraising Dinner on Sunday 30th November at The Imperial Banqueting, Preston PR1 5LG.

- Tickets: £20 (children under 5 free)

All proceeds and online donations go directly to AAHPUK’s thalassaemia programme in Afghanistan.
