Help Catherine Beat Cancer
Donation protected
Hey all,
Thanks so much for taking the time to look at this fundraiser <3.
As some of you may have heard, my sister-in-law Catherine has recently been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer (Extranodal NK/T-cell lymphoma-nasal type).
It has been a whirlwind of family rallying around and Cat having to go to loads of appointments these past couple of weeks. The next step for Cat is preparations for her chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments. As she is likely to lose her hair, Cat has decided to cut her hair before treatment starts so she can donate it to the Little Princess Trust , the charity that is providing a wig for her.
Having a cancer diagnosis is difficult at any stage, but being so young has thrown an extra curveball Cat's way as she has had to defer Uni for the year and is off work as she focuses on getting better. Cat has already been such an inspiration to me and the whole family as she has handled all of this with so much grace and is always thinking of how she can give back to the charities who are supporting her.
A lot of you have sent your support our way already which has been so appreciated. Your prayers and kind words have meant so much :). I've also had many ask how they can help Cat directly.
I am going to cut my hair with Cat this weekend and need sponsors to reach my goal of the minimum 7 inches you have to donate in order for them to use it to make a wig (I have 8 inches of hair that is donatable!). If you'd like to, you can sponsor me with whatever amount you have in mind. The money would go directly towards Cat's current needs: petrol for almost daily hospital trips, food, rent, etc. Each time the amount raised reaches £50 I will commit to donating an inch of hair. Please spread the word so I can meet my goal of £350 <3.
Also, Cat is doing the honours of taking the scissors to my hair ;p! It would mean a lot to her if she could chop enough to send to the Little Princess Trust! <3
Thanks so much xx
