On April 21st, 2024, I will be lacing up my running shoes to participate in the Vienna City Marathon, and I'm reaching out to request your support for a cause very close to my heart.

I'm raising funds in aid of Breast Mates cancer support group, an organization that provides crucial support, information, and friendship to individuals diagnosed with breast cancer in Knowsley and the surrounding area. This cause holds immense significance for me, as my own mum bravely battled triple-negative breast cancer in 2012, fighting with the strength of a warrior. Additionally, I sadly witnessed the loss of her friend, Heidi Roberts, to the same disease at the young age of just 37.

My participation in this marathon is dedicated to honoring the resilience of my mum, remembering the beautiful soul of Heidi, and standing in solidarity with all people who have faced or are facing this dreadful disease. Breast Mates' work is invaluable in providing comfort and assistance to those affected by breast cancer, and every donation contributes directly to supporting their vital services.

Your contribution, no matter the amount, will make a tangible difference in the lives of those fighting breast cancer and will honor the memory of those we have lost. Together, we can provide hope, strength, and support to individuals and families affected by this illness.
