Hi, my name is Owen Lees, and thank you for taking the time to read my page.

I’m a T-Level Engineering student at the Energy Centre Learning Hub with Bede Academy. I’ve been given the incredible opportunity to take part in a British Explorers Society expedition to Knoydart, Scotland, from 4th–18th August.

The British Explorers Society is a charitable organisation that supports young people through challenging educational expeditions. During this expedition, I’ll take part in scientific and creative projects, while developing vital skills such as navigation, teamwork, leadership, resilience, and self-sufficiency in one of the UK’s most remote environments.

The funds will be used to help support me towards paying for the gear required but also towards donating gear to those without suitable equipment.

I need to raise a total of £750 to cover expedition costs, with payments due between February and June 2026. I’m also very grateful for any kit or equipment donations, such as camping or hiking gear.
