It is with great sadness we are writing to inform you of the loss of our beloved Abeba Asrat. Abeba was a single mother, a sister, and friend. Unfortunately, our beautiful Abeba has passed away on August 14th, 2020. Very few of you may know, Abeba was diagnosed with Breast Cancer three years ago. After positive outcomes and remission, she was again recently diagnosed with Liver Cancer. It progressed quickly and we were not prepared for this sudden and unexpected loss, especially after being given such high hopes of survival. I know it's a tough time for everyone considering the challenges we are all facing during this pandemic, but we have started a GoFund to help cover the funeral expenses. Please consider helping out her loved ones while they navigate this tragedy and prepare to move forward in life. Any amount of donation would truly help and will be appreciated.

For those of you who may have had the opportunity to know Abeba, you may know, she deeply valued her family and friends. Her ambition was solely based on work and spending time with her loved ones. She was always prepared to lend a hand in supporting anyone, may it be family, friends or strangers. Being the strong individual she was, she never failed to demonstrate a life full of dignity and appreciation. Not only was she a prime example of someone who captivated genuine support and a graceful spirit, she was the one to remind you to never give up on life no matter how hard the situation was. As a kind hearted, single mother who struggled during the war alone, she managed to come to the US in order to provide a better life for her and her son, Tesfaldet. She did not allow any tough events to steal her joy.  She cherished each and every day with high spirits and a positive mindset. These past few years, she’s fought long and hard against this terrible disease to be able to be here for her son. It’s with deep regret, we write to inform you she has left our lives, but she will certainly never leave our thoughts and memories.
