Recently we had a medical emergency within our nursery when one of our baby room children was taken poorly whilst in the setting - thankfully he was ok!

Upon calling 999 it was recommended that we collect the local defibrillator - two members of staff set off and ran to collect this and they returned to nursery just as the ambulance arrived.

We feel that should an emergency occur, & a child, a staff member, or a parent / carer need a defibrillator to potentially save a life, that it is just too far to run therefore we plan to do a number of fundraising events to raise the funds needed to allow us to have a defibrillator of our own here at nursery!
