Fundraiser for a laser

Donation protected

It only took till the age of 35 for me to come up with a business idea that I knew was incredible. While working in a jewelry store as a jewelry instructor I dreamt of a way to pattern sheet metal using laser technology. Lasers were very expensive modern machines at that time and my idea was not going to be profitable until that technology became more common. My focus became teaching and silversmithing. I also developed a successful line of jewelry using etching techniques.

As time went on I continued to have this product idea in the back of my brain and little by little I figured out a way to make the process work. It took ten years from the initial idea to selling my first laser cut pattern.  I have invested time and money into creating more art-related patterning processes for ceramics, printmaking, leather-working, and others all of which utilize laser technology.

Throughout this whole business adventure I have used a variety of lasers owned by others  until I could afford a used laser of my very own. My current laser has been used by 2 companies prior to me and after using it for 3 years it is now mal-functioning. Because my process is so precise, I need a laser that produces high quality engravings and that is difficult to find in a used laser. It is incredibly important to resolve this issue now because the laser problems are slowing down my production.

It is my belief that I have proven to myself and my peers that I am a dedicated business woman with innovative and artistic ideas that are effecting change in the art and jewelry communities. In the past, I have received a home-based business award from Washington D.C.  Small Business Administration. Women Venture nominated me for a Micro-Enterprise Entreprenuerial Spirit award which I also received.  When I first launched my new process and product I was interviewed on Metalsmiths bench talk blogtalk radio show. That interview shows my enthusiam for my new company.

This is the part where you come in.

I am asking for your help to purchase a new laser that will be a reliable machine when creating my current and future products. This new laser will give me consistent results and help continue my companies success at this crucial point in my business.  At this time I have a 5 star review rating for 12,000+ sales.  If you read them you will know my dedication to this company. I have sold world-wide to 27 countries and 6 out of 7 continents.  Rollerprint™ patterns are sold through my Etsy site. They are also sold internationally in jewelry and craft schools, and retail locations.

Thank you in advance for any and all contributions  No matter what the amount they are all greatly appreciated.
