Fundraiser with Illini4000 for Cancer Research
Tax deductible
This summer, 22 teammates and I will bike from New York City to San Francisco with a goal of raising $125,000 that will go directly to cancer research and patient support services. Along the way, we will document the American cancer experience through Illini4000's Portraits Project, which features interviews with cancer survivors and their families.
Since its inception at UIUC in 2006, Illini4000 has donated $1,122,500 and documented 358 unique and powerful Portraits.
Last year, we donated proceeds to B+ (BePositive foundation), Camp Kesem, Prairie Dragon Paddlers, the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation, and the University of Illinois Cancer Center. Funds are usually split 50/50 between research and direct support initiatives.
**$116,000(!!) raised as of 06/13/2022**
