Atherton Collieries FC are raising funds to support footballer Will Riding, who will be unable to work or play football for the next few months following a serious knee injury in a recent friendly.

Alongside being a popular member of the Atherton Collieries football team, Will works as a tradesman, and due to his recent injury will be missing out on both sources of income for the foreseeable future whilst facing potential medical costs.

Will joined the Collieries in September 2024, growing into his role at the club throughout the season, and was hoping to take his fine form of six goal involvements from the final five league games into the upcoming campaign.
