Fundraiser to help a natural born giver
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kathryn Gayle Bohot, and I am the cousin of Sandra "Sandy" Walker Brogdon.
Sandy, much like myself, is a giver and not a receiver. But there comes a time when we must let others Bless us as we have Blessed them.
Over the past six months or so, she had begun to experience shortness of breath and was having difficulty doing her daily task as her job took all her energy. So, she went to her doctor, who sent her to a cardiologist. They discovered she needed a valve replacement through testing. They felt confident they could go in and fix it through her vein. Unfortunately, when they went in, they found that her heart was much weaker than anticipated, and they lost her for 3 to 5 minutes. Thank God they were able to revive her. They stabilized her by placing her on a machine. Eventually, they could do open heart surgery to replace the valve.
Open heart surgery was unexpected and has placed a significant financial burden on her, which was not anticipated. Her recovery went from a couple of weeks to almost eight weeks, and she is still unable to return to work today.
Sandy is a caregiver for the elderly as she has a caregiving heart and loves what she does. She depends on the income from her caregiving to pay her monthly expenses, which she can not do now.
I am starting a GoFundMe for her in hopes of getting $5,500.00 to pay her monthly bills and to help with her medical bills until she can work again. Anything you can contribute will be greatly appreciated. I have set up a GoFundMe for all donations to go directly into her checking account.
Any amount, small or large, is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for contributing.
