Fundraiser support for Charlie Collard
Donation protected
In the early hours of Sunday morning on the 21st March, Charlie Collard got into a taxi intending to get home safely after a night out. Unfortunately in this case the taxi driver instead brutally assaulted him with a machete to his neck. The serious injuries sustained from this attacked were life threatening and he is very lucky to be alive. He underwent emergency surgery in Geraldton and was later flown to Perth were he remained in a coma for a couple days before waking up and starting his recovery journey. Charlie, along with his family, has been in Perth since the incident occurred and is required to remain there to receive ongoing medical treatment. This has been and continues to be expensive, with accommodation, transport, medical expenses and many other costs that come from being displaced from home. We are hoping to get financial support to assist the family during this difficult time, so that they can focus on Charlie’s recovery. Any bit of support you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
